The first BuckID is free for students and regular employees. There is a charge for guests, contractors and temporary employees to obtain their first BuckID. All customers must pay a replacement fee for lost or damaged cards.

First time students attending the Columbus campus will receive their card when they arrive to campus for orientation or to begin classes.
Ohio State Online students will be able to access a digital BuckID in the Ohio State app. You can find more information on the digital BuckID section of our website.

Only JPEG (.jpg) and HEIC files are accepted.

Your submission will be denied. You will receive an email indicating the reason why the photo is not acceptable and will have to either re-upload another picture or visit the BuckID office to have your photo taken in person.
